Was engaged to be Interim CEO for this 236 bed Catholic hospital which was losing $11, 000,000 per year. Lead a turnaround team to review operating performance, staffing, contracts and medical staff commitment. We were asked by the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet to effect these reductions in expenses without conducting any employee lay-offs if possible. The hospital was returned to a profitable position in less than 2 years without conducting any lay-offs and with increasing medical staff and employee confidence in management.

Anadolu Hospital -Gebze-Kocaeli, Turkey

AUHC was engaged to assist a client in Turkey to plan, organize and build a new healthcare facility. AUHC assisted the Architects, Rees Associates of Oklahoma City, with this effort. Our role was to act a sounding board for Rees architects in planning this facility and to develop operating plans, staffing plans and recruitment and training plans. In addition, we introduced the client to an American Academic Medical Center ( Johns Hopkins) and created an affiliation with that AMC for the hospital’s use for training and brand awareness in the competitive market surrounding Istanbul.
